Château Canon Chaigneau

London-born wine merchant Romik Arconian took over Canon Chaigneau in 2020, with the ambition of making it a leading winery in the entire region and beyond.

21 hectares of clay and limestone with iron deposits, at the highest point of the Néac plateau, and in the continuity of the most prestigious part of the Pomerol plateau, near the Grandes of Pomerol.

The wines are produced according to the principles of “Agriculture Raisonnée”, and find composure and balance through an assembly that favors Merlot (92%), the king vine of the Pomerolese terroir, Cabernet Franc (5%), another historical reference of this area, and Pressac (3%) for its bright and spicy notes.

Faithful to its values ​​and its past, Canon Chaigneau produces sweet, fine, rich, balanced wines with surprising aromatic complexity, typically with notes of truffle, spices, cocoa and black fruits.
A production that stands out for its elegance, finesse and delicacy, thanks to a moderate extraction and a maturation process that respects the identity and intrinsic opulence of each vintage.
