Rondinella grape: resilient and rich in flavor.
The Rondinella grape is a native variety of the Veneto region of Italy, and is particularly known for its role in the production of prestigious wines such as Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto.
This grape is notable for its great resistance to disease and drought, making it a reliable choice for winemakers.
From a morphological point of view, the Rondinella bunches are on average compact and medium-small in size, with blue-black colored berries. The skin is thick and rich in anthocyanins, helping to give the wines a good structure and intense color.
Wines made from Rondinella grapes tend to be characterized by fruity notes of cherry and berries, together with herbaceous and floral hints, with balanced acidity and moderate tannins.
When used in blends with other native varieties such as Corvina and Molinara, Rondinella helps to give body and longevity to the wines, maintaining a harmonious balance between structure and freshness.
