Chateau La France

One of the largest estates in the Bordeaux wine area since the late 19th century: this is Château La France, 90 hectares of Bordeaux Superieur, Bordeaux Blanc Sec and Bordeaux Rosé.

A historical identity that is completed thanks to a generous “terroir”, composed of silty clays and splendid gravel outcrops, and a know-how that is expressed in the implementation of modern instrumentation at the service of the quality and tradition of this historic cellar.

Château La France produces 75% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec: the latter brings its pepper notes and intensity to the classic grape varieties and provides a perfect connection between Merlot and Cabernet.

For the white wine, the vines, including 53% Sémillon, 39% Sauvignon Blanc and 8% Sauvignon Gris, are unusual for an Entre-deux-Mers vineyard: the result is a combination capable of giving captivating, fat and fruity wines.

For the Rosé wine, fresh and light in color, the grape variety is mainly Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
