Gascogne

The Gascogne wine region, located in the south-west of France, is famous for its fresh and aromatic wines.

The mild and sunny climate, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and combined with its rich and varied compositions of clay, sand and limestone, offers ideal conditions for growing vines.

Gascogne is renowned for its dry white wines, particularly those produced with the Colombard, Ugni Blanc and Gros Manseng varieties. These wines stand out for their intense aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and white flowers, as well as their lively acidity. Red wines are also appreciated for their fresh and fruity character.

The region also produces Armagnac, a fine wine distillate, characterized by complex notes of dried fruit, spices and vanilla, a true excellence of the territory.

Viticulture in Gascogne is characterized by a strong family tradition, with numerous small producers maintaining sustainable and environmentally friendly cultivation methods.
